SUNIS INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES
At SUNIS Institute of Management Studies, safety laboratories and equipment play a central role in delivering effective and practical training. We strongly believe that safety education must go beyond classroom instruction and involve direct interaction with tools, systems, and real-life safety equipment. Our safety labs are designed to simulate actual workplace conditions, helping students understand how safety measures are implemented and managed in real environments.
Our safety labs are equipped to support hands-on training for Fire and Safety, Industrial Safety, and professional safety certification programs. Students receive practical exposure to fire prevention systems, fire fighting equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), safety signage, and emergency response tools. This controlled lab environment allows learners to practice procedures safely while gaining confidence and technical competence.
Fire and safety equipment training includes the use of fire extinguishers, hose reels, hydrant systems, smoke detectors, alarms, and emergency evacuation tools. Students are trained on proper handling, inspection, and maintenance of equipment, as well as correct response techniques during fire and emergency situations. These practical sessions help students understand how safety systems function under real operational conditions.
The safety labs also support industrial safety learning through equipment related to electrical safety, machine guarding, confined space awareness, and hazard control measures. Learners are introduced to different types of PPE such as helmets, gloves, safety shoes, harnesses, goggles, and respiratory protection. Emphasis is placed on correct selection, usage, and limitations of safety equipment to ensure effective protection at the workplace.
For international and statutory safety programs such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, OSHA, and SBTET Industrial Safety, the labs are used to demonstrate risk assessment practices, hazard identification, and control implementation. Practical demonstrations and scenario-based learning help students connect theoretical concepts with real safety applications.
The objective of our safety labs and equipment training is to develop confident, responsible, and job-ready safety professionals. By working directly with industry-relevant tools and systems, students gain practical insight, operational discipline, and a strong understanding of safety responsibilities. At SUNIS Institute of Management Studies, our well-equipped safety labs ensure that students are not only certified, but fully prepared to meet real-world safety challenges with competence and confidence.
